The Garden Route Tourism Marketing Association (Gartour) was established to promote the Garden Route Coast & Klein Karoo as a tourist destination, and to promote selected tourism products and attractions in the area. Its members are proven accommodation establishments, & activities from  the many products that make up the tourism  industry of this diverse region.

Cape Town and Port Elizabeth are the major gateways to the region, and together with the Garden Route coast and Klein Karoo, they form a comprehensive tourism package – the Greater Cape Route.
